Wow. I must admit, I thought there wasn’t much difference between corporate America and those who worked in the creative and non-profit sectors but I never experienced this type of segregation in the theater. Or feeling like a threat if too many of us were in one space. A group of us, Black women, might be hanging out in the break room and it was nothing for Stephanie or Amy or Mark to come in, plop down, and ask, “so what are we talking about?”
