That's it. The choice to wear our hair natural has never evolved from being a political statement. Other "statements" have. Look at the term Ms. Back in the day, if you insisted someone refer to you that way, you were expected to flip over a desk, rip off your bra (if you were wearing one) and set it on fire. But now, it's been so accepted over the decades that it's listed as an option on every application. So why hasn't natural hair gained that same sort of acceptance?
